How can I participate in this challenge?

After you sign up, you will get all materials, training and instructions on how to detox yourself at your home.  You must follow a daily routine designed according to Ayurvedic principles. 

What is detoxification?

Detoxification is the most powerful tool to remove blockages and toxins from the body which are suppressing our metabolism and immune system of the body.

Why Spring cleanse?

Spring is considered as season which can cause more clogging, heaviness , stagnation in our mind, body, system.It is a season of Kapha dosha which in turn due to its cohesion properties causes sluggishness thus to balance the nature one must definitely go for spring cleansing. In order to come out of the stagnation of the system Ayurveda suggests Spring cleanse which balances digestive,metabolic and mental system.

How do I prepare for detox?

Our Ayurvedic doctor will give you Triphala for three days before starting the detox challenge.  Triphala (three fruits) is a traditional Ayurvedic herbal formulation consisting of three fruits native to the Indian subcontinent: Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Bibhitaki (Terminalia belerica) and Haritaki (Terminalia chebula).

What happens if you skip spring detox?

People will  get more sniffles,nasal congestion,allergies ,watery itchy eyes,and flus etc.

What is the challenge in Ayurvedic Detox?

The only challenge will be the disciplining themselves in term of following the routine as everything is designed according to Ayurvedis principles and none of them can be skipped.

I normally take bath in the evening.  Do I have to take bath in the morning?

It is advisable to take bath in the morning as it gives a fresh start. Thus those who are habitual of taking baths in the evening they can do twice one in the morning and evening.

What included in the detox kit?

The Detox kit contains-Organic kitchari mix(grains), Detox morning and evening tea, Herbs infused Ghee, Oat meal (with essential nuts), Daily Schedule from getting up till you sleep, Recipes for spring smoothies.

Can I continue with my regular medicines and multivitamins?

Yes. one must continue their regular medication and multivitamins.

What are the advantages? What are the benefits?

Spring cleansing is done to clear away the ama (which is toxic, morbid, metabolic waste). As if it is not cleared away it will clog the cellular channels which will create an imbalance that might convert into a serious disease.

Any adverse effects? Particularly, for me, I am 75; could there be any adverse effects because of my age?

No. It is completely safe however people will certain medical conditions will be dealt separately.

What does this restricted diet do and what type of toxins are removed?

Ama is removed from the body. It is toxic, morbid, and metabolic waste.

Are the toxins removed by the restricted diet itself or by any added Ayurvedic medicine?

Diet helps and additionally, you will be given Triphala (essence from three tropical fruits) ayurvedic tablet to flush away all the toxins.

If any medicines are added, what type of medicines?  I am asking these questions, as I would like to know whether there could be any interactions with the medications I take; like, I am on some cholesterol medicines and I also take some antioxidant supplements, like, green tea extract, grape seed extract, multivitamins and Glucosamine sulfate for osteoarthritis in my knees.

Triphala is the only ayurvedic tablet, which is a herbal supplement and acts as a mild laxative.

At the end of the program, do we go back to our regular diet right away or there is weaning period?

Three days reconstitution period will be advised after 7 days plan which will maintain a buffer in the body and prepare to resume the normal lifestyle.

I go swimming several times a week and I am getting some physical therapy for my knees. Do I stop them for that week? It is not a problem for me not to them that week.
